Partial Birth Abortion Ban Declared Unconstitutional

"Judge Phyllis Hamilton, US District Court for the Northern District of California, issued this order [PDF] granting a permanent injunction in Planned Parenthood v. Ashcroft, writing that the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act [PDF] 'poses an undue burden on a woman's right to choose an abortion.' Planned Parenthood has this press release on today's decision. The US Department of Justice has this March press release on its defense of the abortion law."
