Law forbidding some out-of-state couples from marrying in Massachusetts faces legislative challenge
Representative Robert P. Spellane of Worcester filed a bill to strike a 1913 law that would prevent out-of-state couples from marrying in Massachusetts if such a marriage would be illegal in their home jurisdiction.
